We are delighted to announce that registration for Swansea Academy of Learning and Teaching’s second annual Excellence in Learning and Teaching Conference is now open.

Keynote Address

The keynote address Playing with Brains: Techniques I have found useful in learning and teaching will be provided by Professor Peter McOwan, Director of Teaching at Queen Mary, University of London. Peter McOwan is a Professor of Computer Science and became a Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellow in 2008. More information about Professor McOwan can be found here.

Themes

The conference will showcase good practice in learning, teaching, and assessment across the University. In particular the conference will focus on

• Feedback on Assessment
• Enhancing the First Year Experience
• Learning and Teaching that is Research Led and Practice Driven
• Outcomes from the HEFCW E-Learning Benchmarking projects
